Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 live in Google Play Store

There has been a barrage of Nexus related news today, following the announcement from Google. And even though the live event was canceled due to concerns of Hurricane Sandy; there is plenty of Nexus goodness to share.  Some of which includes new devices, launch carriers, android 4.2 and app updates.

For  starters the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 have all gotten launch dates. And are live in the Google Play Store. Unsurprisingly the Galaxy Nexus and all it's accessories have been removed from the store.

The Nexus 4 by LG: lands on November 13th for $299 (8GB) or $349(16GB) and is slated to be available from T-mobile at $199 on two year contract.  The Nexus 4 features a 4.7 inch 1280 x 768 IPS display, a 1.5GHz quad-core snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM,  8 megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. And a etched layered glass backing. Along with this comes compatibility with Google's Wireless Charging Orb. And last but not least is the fact that the new Nexus will be totting Android 4.2

The already released Nexus 7 (16GB) is now back in stock $199 and the 32GB versions will be available in the Google Play Store November 13th. $249 - $299   Featuring a 7 inch 1280x800 HD display, NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-crore processor 1.2MP front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 4325 mAh battery, Micro USB. 

The Nexus 10 by Samsung lands November 13th with the 16GB at $399 and the  32GB version at $499.

The 10 inch tablet will feature a Dual-core Cortex A15 CPU, 2GB RAM, Quad-core Mali T604 GPU, 5MP rear camera and 1.9MP front-facing camera, 9000 mAh battery, front facing speakers, Micro USB, Micro HDMI, two NFC chips, MIMO Wifi, Pogo pins and last but not least Android 4.2. Which many users will be pleased to know features multiple user support.

T-mobile G4x to be first quad-core stock android device

Looks like LG is ready to release the first quad-core android device running stock android.  And all signs point to this device landing on T-mobile. And it makes sense to have this device join the rest of the G-series phones. I'm personally looking forward to seeing how this devices runs once we see it 'in hand'. Customers were a bit underwhelmed by the G2x that was plagued with issues at launch.

And in light of there being no signs of the new Galaxy Nexus making an appearance on T-mobile via retail stores, the G4x running android 4.0 might be the next best thing or better.

Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition announced

After all the leaks and rumors the Xoom 2 £390.00 is finally official. And it's bringing along a friend the Xoom 2 Media Edition £358.80.Both  set to hit shelves in the UK and Ireland in mid November.  I'm wondering if the specs on these devices will be enough to make original Xoom owners want to upgrade.  And it seems that Motorola learned a bit from the high pricing of the original Xoom when you do the conversion these both come out to be significant cheaper that the Xoom was last year at launch.

So the live event just wrapped. And if you were watching you saw a lot of cool stuff. Zero shutter lag, panoramic video recording, hyper skin, instant-text-to-speech, face unlock and Android Beam to name a few.  I'll have more on that and the event up soon but for now checkout this Galaxy Nexus video they neglected to show during the event.

Motorola unveils the Droid RAZR

Its official, after a number of rumors and a few leaks. The Motorola Droid RAZR was announced today at the Motorola event. Hitting Verizon shelves in November for $299 this device is super thin and packs a punch.  The new RAZR has some new features including; Smart Actions; a location based -automation system and MotoCast a cloud storage and remote access feature. Pre-order begins October 27th.

Nexus Prime and Ice Cream Sandwich Screenshots and Video hit the web.

Little saddened about the delay of I.C.S. and the new Nexus device? Well screenshots and video have landed on the net since then. As you may or may not know Google and Samsung both dropped out of  the CTIA event scheduled for Tuesday out of respect for the passing of Steve Jobs. A man many of those in connection with both Google and Samsung knew and worked with personally.  And even though there is now some speculation that there may also be a patent dispute behind the delay. It makes sense to hold off a bit on any announcements and presentations.  The event would have most likely involved the typical "our product is better and here's why" type of presentation. Something that is standard but may have not been in the best taste so soon.

All that aside there is still no solid date on when these announcements and launches will be made.  Though sooner than later is an obvious statement. In the mean-time take a look at these images and videos of I.C.S. (Ice Cream Sandwich)  goodness.

T-mobile announces Samsung Galaxy S II

The Samsung Galaxy S II has already hit 10 million sales outside the US.  With Sprint and AT&T shipping their own variants of the phone those numbers will no doubt continue to climb. And the original android carrier; T-mobile, isn't going to be left out on this one.  The T-mobile version replaces the Exynos processor with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon, and there is a size upgrade as well.

T-mobile offically announces MyTouch 4G Slide

After sending out a not so mysterious tease via twitter just days ago. The Mytouch 4G Slide has been officially announced. And it's sporting what they claim is the "most advanced camera of any smartphone."  8MP shooter with ClearShot HDR, SweepShot panorama, BurstShot and the Genius Button.

New Nexus 4G device in the works.

I'm sure a lot of you can relate to wanting to get the hottest device out their when you're ready to make a purchase. And just when you're ready to make the plunge a new hot device with comparable specs is announced.  Just as I'm ready to finally make a move towards a G2x to replace my Nexus One here come rumors of a brand new Nexus 4G and apparently "it's a beast".

BGR reported just days ago that it had exclusive information on a new Google device possibly called the  Nexus 4G.  Reportedly the device will house a next-generation dual-core 1.2 or l.5 GHz CPU, a OMAP 4460 or a ultra low power 28nm Krait-based Snapdragon.  The display; 720 HD "monster-sized" screen and it will be free of any buttons below the screen.  Everything software based.  4G LTE, 1GB of RAM 1080 HD video 1-megapixel front facing camera and a  "class leading" 5 megapixel camera along with superior low-light performance. The device will be running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

BGR has been on their game lately but all of this is still unconfirmed along with no carrier being named.  My fingers are crossed that this will be shopped to all carriers. In the least giving the original android carrier a crack at it: T-mobile. Ok I may be a little biased being that i'm on T-mobile.  I want this phone already.  It's rumored to drop around Thanksgiving.

HTC Status presale begins today. Launches July 17

AT&T is taking presale for the HTC Status, their version of the HTC ChaCha the phone with the dedicated Facebook button. The device will gone on sale July 17th.  Most users will probably look elsewhere for their smartphone choices but heavy facebookers could certainly be tempted.

HTC Sensation to hits T-mobile stores June 15th.

T-mobile announced last night that the HTC Sensation 4G would be available by June 15th. Readers will recall that the popular rumor last month was that the device would see a June 8th release. Also noteworthy is the report that Walmart stores will receive the device on June 12th. As you can see above T-mobile is totting this as their most powerful smartphone to date.

HTC Sensation to Launch June 8th?

A lot of T-mobile customers have been awaiting the arrival of the Android power house formerly codenamed the HTC Pyramid but better known as the HTC Sensation.. And recently multiple sources have begun to speak about a June 8th launch date. And even more recently a slip up with Google ads seemed to back this up.  Seen below: a general search for "HTC Sensation" displayed the typical Google results along with a Google add for the device.

T-Mobile G2X only $149 on Amazon with no rebates.

The Dual-Core and Tegra 2 totting smartphone has landed and his received some pretty good reviews.  This coming from tech blogs like Engadget and BoyGeniusReport. The most abundant thought seems to be that this device is really fast.   In fact infamous android hacker and modder Cyanogen tweeted last night about the newly launched device and seemed pleased. (Images below.)

T-Mobile officially announces the Sidekick 4G

We've been expecting this one for awhile now and even saw a few pictures of the device in the wild.  Now T-mobile USA and Samsung  have officially announced The Sidekick 4G.

Kyocera Echo - The first dual-touchscreen Android phone

Sprint announced the Kyocera Echo earlier this week, the first dual-touchscreen Android phone.
The device features two 3.5" 800x480 screens which can be used as one large screen or individually.
The deice can also be closed and used as a typical single screen device.  Said to launch this spring the device will run android 2.2.

Updates: 

It appears Wifi calling will be enabled soon. This functions in a skype like manner allowing you to send and receive calls even when you have little or no network signal.
