At today's live Amazon event the Kindle Fire HD line was unveiled.  The Kindle HD Fire 7-inch, Kindle Fire 8.9-inch and a Kindle Fire HD 4G LTE version.   The Fire HD has a new laminated touch  sensor with no air gap giving us 25% less glare than the previous version.  Two WiFi antennas give the device additional signal strength.  A new feature; Whispersync Voice seamlessly transitions from audiobook to text while you read. X-Ray for movies will allow users to look up info on actors starring in the film they are viewing  via IMDB. Tap a persons face and it will bring up their profile.
