Droid X: The next generation of does. Available July 15th

In case you haven't been keeping tabs there has been a lot of Droid talk lately. Droid X, Droid 2, Droid Droid Droid. Today the Droid X was finally given a firm launch date and price mark. The device will be available July 15th at $199 with contract. I'm pretty excited to find the device will ship with Swype as well as the BlockBuster app amongst others.,not to mention that it makes a number of improvements on the previous Droid model. You can fully expect this device to be competitive with the new iPhone. Below are a few specs, the new Droid X Verizon commercial and a video of the Droid X in action.

- 24 GB storage (8 on device, 16 removable)
- 4.3 inch display
- 854x480 resolution
- HDMI out
- Captures 720p video
- 8 megapixel dual LED camera - autofocus
- 3 microphone - multi-directional audio recording
- Flash 10.1 - available late summer
- Talk time: 8 hours.
- $199 with contract
