T-mobile announces Samsung Galaxy S II

The Samsung Galaxy S II has already hit 10 million sales outside the US.  With Sprint and AT&T shipping their own variants of the phone those numbers will no doubt continue to climb. And the original android carrier; T-mobile, isn't going to be left out on this one.  The T-mobile version replaces the Exynos processor with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon, and there is a size upgrade as well.


  • 4.52" Super AMOLED Plus screen
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Dual Core, 1.5GHz
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB internal memory, expandable via microSD
  • 8MP rear camera 2MP front-facing camera
  • NFC capability
  • Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread - Samsung TouchWiz
Pre-sales are slated for October 10th at T-mobile.com with full nationwide release on October 12th. The phone will run $229 after a $50 mail-in rebate on a two year agreement.
